Jane Webb, owner of CK & Co. high-end fashion boutique, happened into fashion quite by accident. But for the vibrant blonde fashion expert, life is all about the excitement of change.

Though now the owner of one of Oklahoma City’s trendiest, high fashion boutiques, Webb discovered her love for fashion after meeting her husband whose family was involved in the retail business. It was an unexpected career change, but change doesn’t scare Webb.

“I think we all evolve through life changes,” she said. “Life changes all the time, and you’re either on board or not. I love fashion, I love change, and I love people and having a specialty store where my customers become my friends.”

Building A Dream

Nearly 30 years ago, Webb opened her first small store, The Webb, in Nichols Hills Plaza, and even though she had no experience in fashion or retail, she was able to put her marketing and advertising degree to good use.

The Webb in Nichols Hills did so well that the couple opened another store in Dallas, as well as a shoe department in a high-fashion boutique in Houston. They also owned a Joan Vass store and paved the way for the designer to be featured in Oklahoma City.

Webb quickly became a powerhouse in the Oklahoma fashion world. Her interest in designers and trends grew, and she soon moved her store to the south end of the Nichols Hills Plaza and renamed it CK & Co.

“CK & Co. is a one-stop shopping destination that will transport you into a world of style and luxury,” said Webb.

The 6,300-square-foot store introduced what Webb calls “shop-in-shops,” which feature areas that highlight certain designers like Theory, Vince, Elie Tahari, Tory Burch and Lafayette 148.

CK & Co. also carries shoes from designers like Paul Mayer, Pedro Garcia, Vince, Tory Burch and more.

“I would describe the styles as ‘modern with an edge,’” said Webb. “Our customers shop across the board, but I feature designers I believe in. Vince, for instance, is simple, but caters to all ages.”

Future and Fashion

Each season, Webb studies up on trends and meets with fashion moguls to decide what new lines or selections to carry. They unique shop-in-shop concept is new to Oklahoma City, but Webb said designers support the business model.

“The shop-in-shop concept has not been done in Oklahoma City in specialty stores, so we feel we paved the way for this concept,” said Webb.

Webb said she has always been partial to the Nichols Hills neighborhood of Oklahoma City. She is heavily involved in different local causes and has hosted charity fashion shows for the YWCA, Hearts for Hearing and the American Heart Association.

Being successful now, however, doesn’t stop her from looking ahead to the future.

“I’m in my 32nd year,” she said. “Now, we are on to the next 30 years, and we are excited for Oklahoma City and for the future.
